Things to Do
Heaven and earth never agreed better to frame a place for man’s habitation.

Virginia’s Eastern Shore and Chincoteague Island
Virginia’s Eastern Shore is situated between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Chesapeake Bay to the west. Surrounded by pristine beach, marsh and laced with waterways, the Shore affords a beautiful vista of pine and hardwood forests, with verdant farm fields and charming hamlets and towns. Chincoteague Island is nestled between Assateague Island -- home of the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and the world famous Chincoteague ponies -- and the mainland Eastern Shore.
A quaint fishing village, Chincoteague provides a chance to escape the everyday grind and enjoy nature. The island offers excellent birding, biking, hiking, kayaking, boating, hunting and fishing opportunities and a beautiful beach all within a picturesque slice of rural America... and all within a day’s drive of all major Mid-Atlantic cities.
